Safety in the workplace is of upmost importance across all YMCA programs and services. The YMCA coordinates 100’s of internships and placements for youth each year. Dedicated YMCA counsellors are efficiently trained to meet program expectations around safety for both our employers and clients. The reporting structure in place for safety infractions is thorough and responsive. All YMCA employees are also trained in WHIMIS and are held accountable to YMCA policies and procedures around safety.
